Mitsuaki Iwago’s Cat Exhibition Arrives in Okinawa for the First Time

This exhibition gathers together all the photos of cats that Mitsuaki Iwago, an animal photographer, has taken during the forty years that he has been a photographer. The free, lovable and proud nature of cats has been perfectly captured, creating a warm feeling that goes beyond just what you see. The exhibition consists of around 180 pieces taken from the series ‘Kai Chan’, a cat who lived with Iwago in his younger days, and the series ‘Heart’s Tail’ based in Tashirojima, also known as cat island. This exhibition which has attracted more than 1300, 000 visitors throughout the whole of Japan has finally arrived in Okinawa.

Other features ・On July 22, there will be a gallery talk and signing session with Iwago at 11am and 2pm.
(Admission to the gallery talk may be restricted depending on the circumstances.)
(The signing will be of books available to purchase at the venue on the day. These will be limited to the first 200 visitors at each session.)
