JAL Presents “The 14th Ryukyu Sea Flame Festival 2017″

Japan’s Earliest Summer Firework Display

This year will welcome The 14th Ryukyu Sea Flame Festival 2017, which will take place on 8th April (Saturday). Come and witness the great collaboration between the nature and culture of Okinawa, and the traditional performing art of fireworks that Japan is so proud of!!

Fireworks are a summer tradition in Japan and this event combines them with Okinawan music and culture to create the largest original entertainment event in Okinawa and one of the biggest firework illusions in Japan.

Held at Ginowan Seaside Park Tropical Beach, many visitors come from near and far to enjoy the show, and this year, 10,000 fireworks will once again light up the night sky of Okinawa to welcome the early arrival of summer.

The main event will be the ‘Fireworks Illusion’. From the latest hits to classic songs, computer controlled fireworks of various colors will be launched one after the other in time to the music in such a way that spectators cannot help but dance along. The music and firework competition will last for approximately 1 hour.

Last year, worldwide fashion designer, Junko Koshino, created the firework art that lit the night sky accompanied by music.
Please enjoy these world-class fireworks.

※  Ryukyu Sea Flame Festival’s firework team, Marutamaya Ogatsu Fireworks Co., won the 2016 Macau International Firework Contest.
