The 22nd 10,000 Eisa Dance Parade

A Traditional Eisa Dance Climax on Kokusai Street!

The 22nd “10,000 Eisa Dance Parade” is approaching this year. It will be held on Kokusai Street again, at the heart of Naha.

It will start with a simultaneous dance performence which the amateur participants continued to practice over two months, an eisa production with original choreography.

There will be a lively performance of traditional eisa by the seinenkai (youth groups) in the latter half, and the festival will reach its climax on Kokusai Street.

Furthermore, one of the attractions of the festival is being able to participate with the “Niwaka Eisa Dance Group,” which is open to all.

Registration is open from 10am at Kenchomae Plaza, where you will practice “Mirukumunari” for around an hour. Dance as the top batter later at 1pm.

Those visiting Kokusai Street on the day of the event, please feel free to participate.

(Eisa drum and stick, “paranku and bachi,” available for the first 100 people to rent)
